The courses are offered under the auspices of VTU and are recognized by Govt. of Karnataka and AICTE, New Delhi. The department seeks to excel as a technology hub processing research and educating students in current technological developments. It is equipped with the state of the art infrastructure and supported by a team of dedicated and qualified staff members. The fast changing scenario in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning necessitates the department to actively extend its focus and activities in research and development, consultancy programs and Industry-Institute Interaction. Dr. Asha S. Manek is a Professor and Head of the Department of AI & ML at T John Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, with 30 years of teaching experience. She holds a BE from Nagpur University, ME from Bangalore University, and PhD from JNTU, Hyderabad. She has published 45+ research papers in reputed journals like Scopus, SCI, IEEE Access, and Springer. Her interests include Data Mining, Machine Learning, IoT, Cloud Computing, and Wireless Sensor Networks. She has guided over 45 UG & PG projects, authored a book on C programming, published patents and copyrights, and organized various conferences and workshops. She has served as a reviewer, judge, and advisory committee member in national and international events, and was recognized as a Primary Evaluator for Toycathon 2021 by MIC AICTE. She is a lifetime member of ISTE and a former member of IEEE and CSI.
An accomplished IT professional with over 25 years of experience in Solution Architecture, Consulting, and Project Implementation. Currently serving as a Cloud Solution Architect for Azure Infrastructure at Microsoft since 2015. Previously, I spent nearly 15 years at Infosys, specializing in technical consulting for Finacle (Core Banking Solution) and Cloud Solution Architecture. In my free time, I enjoy running, swimming, and endurance cycling.
At Microsoft, I lead cloud strategy and infrastructure architecture initiatives, implement robust cloud governance frameworks, drive FinOps and cloud security measures, and collaborate with large BFSI customers and Global System Integrators (GSI). Mrs. Madhavi Ravindra Dixit, B.E, M.E, is an Asst. Professor dedicated to leveraging a dynamic teaching approach, encouraging innovative ideas, and training young minds to meet industrial requirements. She holds an M.Tech in Information Technology from VTU, Karnataka, and a B.E. in Electronics Engineering from Shivaji University, Solapur, Maharashtra. With a total of 8 years of experience (5 years in teaching and 3 years in the industry), her areas of interest include Data Science, AI, and ML. She has expertise in subjects like C-Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, Operating Systems, Software Testing, and Digital Electronics. Additionally, she has completed a Software Testing course at Cegonsoft Technologies.
